Rise In Centre Wellington Home Prices Exceeds National Average

House prices have continued to rise, and Centre Wellington is no exception. Our median sales price of a freehold home in April 2017 was $535,000 compared to $380,000 only a year earlier! Perhaps that partly skewed by the number of higher priced river front and luxury properties, but comparing the previous few months shows a similar trend. Sale price increases over last year for March 12.5%, February 32.2% and Januray 26.9%.
Real estate and home ownership has always been one of the best investments we can make, but with these rapid price increases it is becoming increasingly difficult for our younger generation of home buyers to afford their first home.

Canadian house prices continue to march higher, with the average price of one sold in April hitting $559,317 — an increase of more than 10 per cent in a year.
